White Room

Your guests assemble to await your grand entrance as you descend the sweeping purple staircase in the Turquoise Hall.

Meanwhile there will have been plenty of time for you to prepare for your special day in the sunny “Marie Antoinette” suite. You can relax with your bridesmaids with a bottle of champagne, have your hair and makeup done and check the results in the full length mirrors. Today everything has to be perfect!

You will want to choose the music for the ceremony. Maybe bring your iPod or CD for us to play on our sound system. There is a huge variety of live music by talented musicians available in this area, from a harpist (fabulous when amplified, carries for miles!), to the ever popular string quartet. An electric organ is installed in the alcove and a grand piano is in the Music Room, just across the Turquoise Hall. If you have musical friends and family they are welcome to play them.

You will stand in front of the unique symbolic “joined hands” Dali table with your guests seated on the gold chairs, watching you both bathed in the lace diffused sunlight from the three 8 feet high windows framed in antique gold curtains.

Champagne and canapés can be served on the lawn or alternatively in the Music Room. Your photographer will find a multitude of locations, including the white carpeted front steps where you will both be centre stage for the traditional wedding album photographs. The sweeping staircase is also a lovely setting.

We are very happy for you to have your own special ceremony after the official one. For example you can arrange a Humanist ceremony or Hand Fasting in the garden.

Continue your special day with a reception in the Oriental Brewhouse for up to 40 guests or in a marquee for 100 in the lovely walled gardens.

Or you can simply say goodbye to everyone in the traditional way with jangling boots and saucepans trailing behind your Rolls Royce!
